Comet Class Yacht Racing AssociationThe Comet Class Yacht Racing Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote Comet racing. It establishes building plans and specifications and supervises the enforcement of the one-design concept in racing. It publishes the handbook, a Yearbook, a racing Calendar and a quarterly newsletter "Comet Tales".
The Class also sponsors an International Championship Regatta, a Midwinter Championship, a Junior Championship (under 18), the Master's Championship (over 45), Bermuda Race Week, Territorial Championships, and Fleet Championships. Presently there are twenty seven active fleets, covering the Northeast and Midwest from as far south as Annapolis MD, west to St. Louis MO, north to New Hampshire and the New York Finger Lakes and east to Bermuda. The Comet is easily trailed and sailors enjoy a great selection of regattas every weekend of the sailing season.Comet Class 2011-2012 Executive Committee
